Safety concept / measures and precautions

SIAF is fully aware of its responsibility towards guests, partners, service providers and employees and adheres to the guidelines of the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH), the legal requirements of the COVID-19 ordinance and the labor law.

We enjoy the privilege of welcoming you back to the university for our evening lectures and apply the relevant security concept. General information about the University of Zurich can be found on the corresponding website, in particular on regulations  and the safety concepts.

We urge everyone to personally contribute to their own safety and the safety of all others:

  • Always adhere to the behavioral and precautionary measures according to BAG.
  • Wash your hands regularly with soap and water or disinfect your hands.
  • Maintain a distance of 1.5 meters from each other.
  • Where this minimum distance cannot be maintained, protect yourself and others by wearing a mask. At the university, this is obligatory from the moment you enter the building until you are seated, as well as after the end of the event. SIAF recommends that masks are also worn for the duration of the lecture.
  • In addition to these safety measures, we recommend that you install the tracing app SwissCovid on your mobile.

Notwithstanding the above, the following applies:

  • If you have not felt well in the last 10 days or have shown acute symptoms of a respiratory disease, we ask you to refrain from your visit: Participation may be denied if symptoms of illness are present.
  • If you have recently arrived from risk areas, you may not attend an event during the quarantine period.
  • Through the registration and admission process introduced in view of the new conditions, your contact details will be recorded and forwarded to the competent authorities upon request. Admission will only be granted upon presentation of your personal, non-transferable ticket. The ticket will be checked on a contactless basis.

In addition to the modified format at the university, we will broadcast our events live on the Internet. This allows for a virtual presence if there is no more space available on site or if one does not want to or cannot attend the event in person for other reasons.

Thank you for your understanding and support.
